Why usage-based?
Conductor paces your sending conservatively on purpose, because that is what keeps your email out of spam. A flat monthly fee would push us to let you blast. Usage pricing means we only do well when your sends actually go out, at a pace your domain can handle.
The free allowance is deliberately generous. Most people getting started will not pay anything for a while, and that is fine with us.
