Conductor vs Instantly
Instantly is built to send at high volume. Conductor is built to make sure what you send actually lands, and to stop sending when it will not. It also starts free and bills only for what you send, where Instantly starts at a flat $37.60 a month before add-ons. If you are weighing an Instantly alternative, here is the fair version, pricing included.
Who each is for.
- • You run high-volume outbound across many inboxes and volume is the priority
- • You want a built-in B2B lead database in the same tool
- • You already handle deliverability with separate monitoring tools
- ✓ You want one tool that diagnoses and fixes deliverability, warms up, verifies your list, then sends
- ✓ You want sending gated on live deliverability, with auto-pause on bounce or spam spikes
- ✓ You want an AI agent to run the whole thing over API or MCP, no dashboard step
- ✓ You want to start free and pay only for what you send, not a flat monthly plan plus add-ons
To be clear about where Instantly is strong: raw sending volume and its lead database. Conductor does not try to beat it on either.
Feature by feature.
A fair table. Where Instantly is stronger, it says so.
| Feature | Conductor | Instantly |
|---|---|---|
| Deliverability diagnosis + one-click fix | Yes. Free SPF, DKIM, DMARC and blocklist check with plain-English fixes you can apply in one click. | No. Instantly does not monitor SPF, DKIM, DMARC or domain health, and does not test inbox placement. |
| Live-deliverability gated sending | Yes. Every send is checked against your live deliverability. Sending auto-pauses on bounce or spam spikes. | No. Sending continues at the configured rate regardless of your deliverability. |
| Automatic warm-up | Yes. Fresh inboxes ramp automatically before cold sends go out. | Yes. Warm-up is a core Instantly feature. |
| List verification | Yes, built in. Invalid addresses are skipped at send time. 500 free per month. | Yes, verification is available. |
| Copy-quality gate | Yes. A free lint scores every step, and block mode refuses launches that score under 60. | No spam-content checking before send. |
| Reply triage and after-reply handling | Yes. Every reply is classified automatically, bounces and out-of-office are handled for you, sequences pause the moment someone replies positively, and a confirmation draft with your booking link is ready to send. | Partly. The Unibox centralizes replies with interest labels, but there is no auto-handled bounce and out-of-office filtering and no confirmation draft prepared for you. |
| Run from nothing via API / MCP | Yes. An agent can go from zero to a running campaign entirely over the API or the 33-tool MCP server. No dashboard step. | An API exists, but Instantly is built around its dashboard. |
| Sending volume | Deliberately paced. Warm-up ramps, daily caps and send windows. Not built for maximum volume. | Very high. Instantly is built to send at scale across many inboxes. |
| Contact database | No. Bring your own list, we verify it. | Yes, a built-in B2B lead database. |
| Price model | Usage-priced, free to start. 1,000 sends and 500 verifications free each month, then $0.002 per send. No flat fee, ever. | Flat plans from $37.60/mo (Growth, annual) to $358/mo (Light Speed). The lead database and CRM are separate paid add-ons on top. |

What you'll actually pay.
This is the part most comparison tables skip. Instantly charges a flat monthly fee from your first send, and its lead database and CRM are separate paid modules on top. Conductor starts free and bills only for what you send, so at the volumes most teams actually run, it costs a fraction as much.
| If you send | Conductor | Instantly |
|---|---|---|
| Getting started (about 1,000 emails a month) | Free | $37.60/mo Growth (annual), about $451 a year |
| Growing (about 5,000 emails a month) | About $8/mo | $37.60/mo Growth (its 5,000-email cap) |
| Scaling (about 25,000 emails a month) | About $48/mo | $97/mo Hypergrowth, plus lead-database and CRM add-ons |
Conductor pricing: 1,000 sends and 500 verifications free every month, then $0.002 per send and $0.005 per verification, no flat fee. Instantly prices are list prices as of mid-2026 and exclude its lead-database (Credits) and CRM modules, which are billed separately. One fair caveat: Conductor sends through your own connected mailbox, so you bring your inboxes, while Instantly is built for high-volume sending across many inboxes. The saving is largest at the low-to-mid volumes where most senders start.
Why teams switch: the closed loop.
The usual story is not that Instantly failed to send. It is that sending kept going while deliverability slid, and the domain paid for it.
Fix before you send
Google, Yahoo and Microsoft reject unauthenticated bulk mail. Conductor checks SPF, DKIM and DMARC and fixes what is broken before the first cold email goes out. Instantly assumes that part is already handled.
Gate every send
Each send is checked against your live deliverability first. A bounce or spam spike auto-pauses the campaign instead of pushing through it. You never burn a domain to hit a daily quota.
Honest about limits
No tool can promise the inbox, including this one. What Conductor can do is refuse to send when the signals say it will not land, which is the part most tools skip.
See where your domain stands.
The domain check is free and takes seconds, no signup. If it comes back clean, great. If not, Conductor fixes it before anything sends.
